Survey for Resource on Undocu Work

The New York State Youth Leadership Council (NYSYLC) is partnering with the NYU Law’s Immigrant Rights Clinic to create resources to support those of us without work authorization or who are at risk of losing work authorization if our DACA status is not renewed. As ongoing court challenges to DACA make the program's future uncertain, we hope these resources can support you, all NYSYLC members, and others who may be impacted in understanding the possible avenues for employment and in having the tools they need to advocate for themselves in the workplace.

We ask you to fill out this survey about your concerns and experiences in the workforce related to your immigration status so we can best understand what types of resources may be most helpful. You are welcome to answer as many or as few questions as you would like. You may choose to be anonymous. Our goal with this survey is to mobilize our shared knowledge to support each other as things change. We hope that by uplifting our collective knowledge, we can build networks of support, self-advocacy tools, and leadership development to protect our communities and our autonomy.

If you have any questions about how the survey, please contact Immigrant Rights Clinic Student Advocates, Abdiel Caballero (ac8941@nyu.edu) and Yulanda Lui (cl5950@nyu.edu) or NYSYLC Co-Executive Director, Guadalupe Ambrosio (lupe@nysylc.org).

Thank you for participating!
